Disabled ‘match ticket’ viagogo.co.uk

This was declined as all members and season ticket holders need to let us know or return tickets if they are unable to attend a game so that we can pass the tickets onto other disabled members on the Rota scheme that would be able attend. All agreed that Viagogo was not required for disabled members.

Designated wheelchair platform in West Upper

Unable to re-instate the West Upper platform due to work that has occurred.  As for removal of seats in the West Lower for non ambulant, the seats can not be removed as it would mean that ambulant members would not be able to use tickets if a non-ambulant member was to return tickets which they no longer required. Also a request was raised to ask stewards to move people along as non-ambulant members unable to access their seats as other fans are watching the pre-match training, this request will be put forward to the department.

Increasing disabled parking around the Bridge.

Parking, we do only have limited parking and are unable to expand.  But there are good facilities at Chelsea and West Minster Hospital and The Conrad Hotel. The parking at Stamford Bridge does affect everyone.

The distribution of the away disabled tickets for the cup matches if Chelsea are drawn away the club should put a bit more pressure on that club to release few more tickets .

Depends on demand. We normally do not need to, but if we needed more disabled tickets then we would ask.

Organising away travel to away northern matches.

Nobody’s actually asked for it till now. Thomas Cook is our official travel partner or it would need to go though them. Was suggested if the facility was there maybe more people would want to use it. Mathew said he will do a poll on the website and come back with numbers so that we can look into this for next season.

Introduce an accessible pre-match venue within Stamford Bridge i.e.: Drakes.

The only area’s available are the Blues Bar and Hotel. We do not actually have any other space on match day at Stamford Bridge. The question was asked as why alcohol is not served in the East Lower. East Lower does not serve alcohol, as this is a child friendly environment, all other concourses do sell alcohol.

Improve Pre-match mobile refreshment arrangement

In the East Lower they take orders an hour before kick-off so if you are not at your seat you would have to wait, even if they do take orders they take ages to receive. We will talk to stewards to try and improve the service. It was suggested that maybe we could have a lower counter at the kiosks in the West Lower concourse to be accessible by non-ambulant supporters.

Improve the commentary available for visually Impaired and blind supporters

Delayed commentary on ear pieces, we will be raising the question to see if this could be changed, but can not make any guarantees as we have contracts in place.

Improve the publicity for the disabled facilities offered by Chelsea.

There is not any information for disabled members in programme regarding selling arrangements for disabled members, we agreed on putting some information in, with selling dates. Also asked about going on Chelsea TV to promote our disabled scheme. We would need to first find out how many disabled supporters actually have Chelsea TV, and then we will address.

Any Other Business.

1.       DSA can be members of NADS, but still get tickets off us.

2.       Disabled Season Ticket Holders seats are not transferable, as the seats will go to either long standing disabled members or non-disabled members with loyalty points.

3.       There was a complaint about not receiving ear pieces at the FA Cup Final and was told that Chelsea did not send a list saying we requested any. A list was sent of names of members, season tickets holders who requested commentary aid.

4.       Some people still having problems online on the HTML site (JT style). We are aware of this and are in touch with our web provider, who is addressing the problem.  When people are calling we are advising them to use the Flash (Zola Style).

5.       How long do we hold tickets for disabled match members? We only release tickets one week before the game so that non-disabled members can purchase them.

6.       As discussed there is flexibility as to where match members can purchase tickets in all the lower tiers subject to availability we will do our best to accommodate a request.
