Minutes of previous meeting.

·         Point 6.   Mathew came back with poll results for away travel using our official partners Thomas Cook, findings 15 would travel to all, 6 would travel to northern matches only and 4 would not use them at all.

·         Point 8.   Everyone agrees  pre-match refreshments services has improved

·         Point 9.  Delayed in commentary, this is still in process of being completed. We are looking into a obtaining a digital mask which should resolve the problem. A suitable location needs to be located.

·         Point 10.  Publicity of disabled information has improved with the ticket news now in program and on our website in tickets, then disabled tickets.

Matters Arising.

Non-disabled members in the West Lower watching players warming up. We are unable to ask member to sit before kick-off. But will ask again to see if stewards can help with moving members on.

Want to present player of the year award.

Wanted to do the player of the year presentations which is part of the Supporters Club package. This request was denied as CDSA are representatives of our disabled supporters and not a group Supporters Clubs. There was talk of wanting to start own group so that they could do a presentation. It was then explained as to what a supporters club actually entails.

4

Disabled children to attend the Children’s Christmas Party.

The Christmas Party has always been open to all Junior True Blue members and junior Season Ticket holders.  Applications for this event are based on first come first serve. Details on how to apply will be published in the magazine.

Visits to Cobham for Disabled Section.

Cobham Training Sessions are held behind closed doors. It was asked as a disabled group would they be allowed to attend, it was explained that none of our supporter groups are able to attend the training ground.

6

NADS Membership.

Chelsea FC and CDSA are both now officially members Chelsea. Jamie Polk membership secretary of NADS will be carrying out an interview for the club on how NADS works. It was asked if we could forward the e-newsletter we receive from NADS to all disabled members, this can not be done due to Data Protection Act. We said we would put the NADS link on our website so members could go onto the sight and sign up to it if they wish.

RADAR Keys usage for Disabled Toilets.

We can have the locks fitted, but this would be on the advice of the CDSA’s. Our concern would be as we are unable to have a steward to monitor the toilets. Therefore if people where to forget there own keys this would create a problem in the assistance available to open the toilets for them. The general consensus was not to use the keys as it appears the main problem is in the East Lower for the Champions League matches from ball boys and press. We will see if we can ask stewards to assist in monitoring the toilets in this area for these matches.

Disabled Away Travel.

Partially covered in previous meetings. Thomas Cook is looking to introduce a coach to accommodate wheelchairs, awaiting confirmation. Abroad travel does depend on the away club. I.E. taxi’s restriction near stadium. Thomas Cook and Chelsea FC are actively trying to make the best possible arrangements by talking to the clubs direct, but this does depend on away clubs on what they can offer. It was suggested we are going to operate our own poll on away travel on the disabled membership and season ticket renewal form for next season.

Chelsea Magazine.

All disabled members and season ticket holder should be receiving the monthly Chelsea magazines. We are monitoring it as much as we can by ensuring that the data is being sent to the warehouse, but are unable to track any further. We are sending Magazine’s to members manually if they call to say they have not received them, but most members seem to be receiving them fine.

10

Most Efficient way of returning application forms.

All are methods are equally efficient; we mainly receive email and fax applications. It does depend on what it the easiest or most convenient for the member.

Any Other Business.

  1. CDSA Website

    • Approval of Log: As the logo the CDSA was using had not been approved by Chelsea FC we have temporally had remove the logo while we have an official one designed for the CDSA which will meet Chelsea FC branding requirements.
    • We are looking into revamping our Chelsea Disabled page.
    • We will make the disabled FAQ’s more visible then previously.

    • All personal email addresses for members of CDSA will need to be removed from the CDSA contact page The only two email address to remain will be CDSA and  to add Chelsea disability email address so members can contact us direct. We are look into getting the CDSA a new email address from Chelsea.
    • CDSA emails are not to be sent direct to members to comply with the Data Protection.
    • Contents management for Matthew and Diane to worker closer on the site contents.

  1. It has been requested that NADS information link to be added to each away game so members can see where seats are and parking information for the away club. We do already put most the information in regards to parking and allocation. This will be looked into.

  1. The removal of bottle tops being taken off, can causing people to spill drinks on member in front of them. All members have to comply with ground rules as bottles can be used as missiles. Suggested maybe a solution to bringing flasks as some disabled members already do.

  1. Requested a larger disabled away allocation. This will depend on away clubs allocation offered to Chelsea FC, we will always try taking the maximum allocation of disabled tickets available. Chelsea FC is currently trying to improve our own away end going from 3-5 wheelchair spaces.

  1. Yellow line in West Lower keeps rubbing off on members shoes and guide dogs paws. Will have a look into it. See if we could get an alternative paint maybe.

  1. The CDSA commented on the prompt arrival of tickets and the information on the website.
