Disabled Toilets in main office update

We have been advised that the disabled toilets have been done to the rules and regulations for disabled toilets. We will however not be holding the CDSA meetings in the main offices in future as we prefer the venue in the West Stand

Ticketing Policy Changes for 08/09

Everyone seems pretty happy with the policy and the only change requested is to ensure disabled seats are being used by disabled fans and not being left empty. We find that disabled rota members are informing us and are returning tickets which we have been able to pass onto other disabled rota members. But only a few Season Ticket holders are informing us when they are unable to attend.

We do not want empty seats when there are people who want to see matches. It was suggested we bring in a penalty scheme, but decided against this. Instead have opted to send Season Ticket Holders a letter asking them why they have not attended a game and more importantly why they did not inform us they were not attending. The problem is not Season Ticket Holders not attending, its Season Ticket Holders not informing us that they are not attending as we have rota members who live nearby who would be able to attend even last minute if we knew a Season Ticket Holder was not attending, therefore not leaving empty seats.

Headset Commentary – problems at Chelsea Manchester Utd

We were aware of the problem at the time, it has now been fixed. Each matchday we check to ensure the commentary is working.

9

Would club consider putting Matchday programme on CD for visually impaired fans

It is something we have looked into previously and is already currently being looked into by Chelsea Digital Media.

Other Business

1.       East Lower – the stewards are not scanning tickets in the readers. We will speak to the stewards and get this sorted immediately.

2.       There is a non-ambulant member/season ticket holder in the East Lower where the escort sits behind the Wheelchair, therefore obstructing the view of people next to them and also the passage way for other non-ambulant members. We now have the seat details and this will be passed onto the stewards to fix this situation.

3.       After a game when the ground is being cleared, it was suggested that some disabled members ambulant and non-ambulant felt like they were being rushed out the stadium. Was asked that stewards be made aware that some people take longer then others

4.       It was suggested we have disabled bays instead of the seats. We can do this, but it would significantly cut down the numbers of disabled seats we will be able to offer. It would also mean that if a non-ambulant member was unable to attend a match last minute we would only be able to offer that seat to another non-ambulant member, and not an ambulant member. Meaning that if we are unable to find a non-ambulant member last minute to attend the game the seat will remain unused. We are continuously look for ways to improve the stadium for our disabled supporters

5.       The lowered counter in the west stand – do disabled members get priority in being served first? Disabled members do not get priority to be served first, as it’s the same for all members. However you may find other members letting you go ahead, but that would be down to the person, as they do not have to.

6.       Mobile Food Counters in the East Lower, money is being taken but members are not always receiving their coffee which they ordered. Money should not be changing hands without the goods.

7.       Can not see pitch at Champions League games and the photographers are blocking the view in the West Lower. It’s the same signs as last year, moved just slightly forward. The photographers can not be moved, as there is nowhere else in the ground for them to go.

8.       West Lower Exit at the Shed End can it be controlled for disabled members only, we will find out if there is a way to try and let the exits be predominantly for disabled, but would not  be able to make it just for disabled members use only.
